* The Vesperal Liturgy, in summary, is the first half of Vespers, with numerous OT Readings, and the Liturgy of St Basil beginning at "Holy God". The Great Blessing of Waters immediately follows. Being a Liturgy, we keep the Eucharistic Fast as best we can as a part of our preparation for Holy Communion. Some might take a light lenten breakfast, and others perhaps the smallest thing before noon. In other words, one should be notably hungry at the liturgy--hungry for the Bread of Heaven. This service is a marathon.

HERE is a nice compilation of many languages.
When You, O Lord were baptized in the Jordan
The worship of the Trinity was made manifest
For the voice of the Father bore witness to You
And called You His beloved Son.
And the Spirit, in the form of a dove,
Confirmed the truthfulness of His word.
O Christ, our God, You have revealed Yourself
And have enlightened the world, glory to You!
